    THEME PAVILION
WALK THROUGH LIFE'S JOURNEY WITH PLASTICS
    "SAY YES TO PLASTICS"
is the theme of the Theme Pavilion at Plastindia 2012.

Ampacet-Say YES to Plastics Pavilion serves the Plastindia Foundation’s objectives of education dissemination about plastics. Traditionally a room with information filled posters, PI 2012’s Ampacet-Say YES to Plastics Pavilion will be different- It will take the visitor through a journey of realization in a subtle, yet soul stirring manner so that it is thought-provoking and lingers on. Spread over 700 square meters, Ampacet-Say YES to Plastics Pavilion will be located on the prime spot on the Lake at Pragati Maidan- opposite Hall 9, 10, 11, and 7. The visitors will have to pass by pavilion, and a look possibly will force a second one. Using cutting edge technology to display high quality AV films along with computer generated animated movies, this will be the first of its kind at a business fair in the world. The pavilion has been developed around the concept of edutainment to drive home the message ‘there is no life without plastics’. The message is being conveyed using movie projections on larger than life screens, with supporting visual, sound and climate control aids to give the visitor a 3-D feel.
Groups of visitors will move from one room to another, each having a different theme related to plastics. Each room will have a different AV playing on large LED screens, totaling a 10-12 minute package of pure experience, which will leave one enthralled and truly entertained.

Get introduced to plastics in the first hall: Plastics makes life possible today - The first thing that we touch every morning in our daily lives, is made from plastics. The Pavilion will showcase the utility of plastics in various aspects of our day to day life- Roti, Kapda, Makan, Paisa, Pani, Bijli (Food, Clothing, Shelter, Money, Water, Power)- would have not been possible without plastics.
In the Healthcare section: Witness, experience, and realize the importance of plastics as a savior in birth as well as life threatening situations, maladies, accidents and minimally invasive surgeries. The experience of being in an Operation Theatre in 1971 vis-à-vis one in 2011 will be a part of this experience. The Plastics Hall of Fame will showcase body replacement parts not possible without plastics.
In the Plastics in Packaging Hall, enjoy a CG animated movie, which will provoke thoughts such as: What is the environmental feasibility of the conventional packaging products? Are they a drain on the ecology, will they be able to sustain the growing needs of an exponentially growing population? Do they offer superior attributes like protection against damage from sunlight & water? Do they offer comparable rigidity, flexibility, toughness & convenience to carry? Can plastics be designed into any shape, size, color, clarity? These are all questions to which a positive response can be found. The comparison recycling process of paper and plastic will further SEAL the use of plastics as only alternative.
The ‘Future with Plastics’ section of the pavilion has three key areas all showcased and screened in 3D format movies:
Automotive- Plastic in way helps in reducing the fuel consumption of a car by lowering the total weight of car. Giving attractive interior is just a frill.
Military & Aviation-: Anything that is moving and guided needs to reach accurately where it is intended to reach and it is possible by maximizing the use of low weight but sturdy plastics.
Water Management- The conservation concepts, transmission style, drip irrigation facilities.
The theme concludes with a movie on responsible waste management : While plastics are useful across different industries/sectors, responsible waste management is an important factor too. As the population rises, so does waste. Hence, there is a need to dispose off the wastage scientifically. Therefore, segregation at the source is vital. Two types of waste are dry waste (Paper, plastic, glass, tin, etc.) & wet waste (biodegradable matter). It is very important to dispose off waste properly to sustain our future as the population rises every day.
The journey ends with an AV showing live demo of Dollplast recycling plastic scrap.
